Dedicated Carers has provided in-home care services in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie for the best part of 15 years. We have remained a small operation and have never gotten ahead of ourselves when it came to our growth and change. This has enabled us to ride with the highs and manage the lows. And there have been more challenges and low points over the last few years than highs.

The company recently changed hands in mid-2023 as a result of the previous owner wanting to take a step back and retire.

The new owner wants to maintain the legacy that Lyn the previous owner has built over the last 15+ years and continue the amazing care and support for the community in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie regions. 

Dedicated Carers is a government-approved provider with provider number 7028.

Dedicated Carers are more than just a service that will come to your home and provide short or long term aged care, respite and other nursing and companionship services to you or a loved one.

We are the support team for the person who requires the care and the person’s family as well.

Caring for the elderly members of our community is more involved than just making sure they are comfortable. It is about compassion, understanding, patience and expertise.

This bond is because our carers almost have the same amount of passion and dedication that many of the family members have. In addition, just like our client and their family’s we share the highs and low’s they feel as well.

Our purpose of “Making a difference in someone’s day” is not

just something we say, it is something we do.

Apart from providing quality in-home assisted living services some of our client’s and their family member’s embrace the other services we provide such as promoting good health, nutrition, home safety and hygienic living conditions. Others embrace that we are not biased to any culture or race and that our carers work whole heartedly to make a positive change to people’s lives while helping, advising and educating them and their families across many area’s.

That could be from finding out if they are entitled to Government assistance or not to creating a customised in-home care plan for a short or long term.

Of course, all our carers have current Police checks and those working with children have current Working with Children checks. In addition, all our Dedicated Carers have current certifications or working towards them, which include Cert III Aged Care and work under the Work Health and Safety Policy (WHS).
